Muntaka Mubarak, Member of Parliament (MP) of Asawase, threatened to prove, with evidence, the accusations of corruption he made against the Supreme Court Judge if necessary.
He does not take his remarks lightly, according to him, adding a variety of goodies were offered to the member involved and also asked to name her price.
I don’t take what I’m doing lightly; I’ve heard people say all sorts of things, so we know what we do and what we do.
“Definitely we will provide all those things, the call that he made, the time that the call was made and everything is there so it is not in doubt,”
Hon Muntaka, speaking in a Joy News interview, claimed the accusation was led by a Supreme Court justice seeking to bribe some National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs to vote for Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye.
On the night members of the 8th parliament were planning to vote to elect a speaker, the judge made the bribery attempt, he said.
There have been calls from the public following his accusations, especially from the Chief Whip of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Caucus, Frank Annor Dompreh, who demanded that he provide evidence.
